UPDATE: NOVEMBER 13
As we move deeper into fall and winter, there’s a degree of inevitability surrounding encounters with COVID. In fact, several of you have been asking what you should do if you or one of your family members is exposed to someone who has tested positive. The recorded Real Life policy is as follows: We ask that any person exposed to COVID-19 receive a negative test or experience no symptoms for 14 days before returning to an in-person event.
If you have questions regarding this policy, please feel free to reach out to any pastor or board member — we are happy to speak with you!
GOVERNOR WALZ NOVEMBER 10 UPDATE
Many of us watched the address from Governor Walz on Tuesday, November 10. As a result of the updated guidelines — and out of an abundance of caution and care — we are making a couple of changes, effective immediately: LifeGroups. Because of the 10-person / three household limit, we are asking all LifeGroups to shift to virtual/online gatherings for the time being. We realize this is a big change; there will be support, resources and other help available to stay spiritually close despite our physical distance.Food/drinks. Please refrain from bringing outside food or beverages into the building. As we’ve done since reopening in late June, there will be no food/drinks served in the building.Reconnecting. We’re all excited to see and talk with people we love and haven’t seen in several weeks. We ask that you not gather in the aisles, in the lobby, or in the hallways so we can maintain healthy physical distancing practices for all attenders.
Thank you for giving grace as we transition to these adjustments; it’s critical that we do our part to slow the community spread of COVID, and we love you all far too much to be silent or idle in response.
IN-PERSON GATHERING REMINDERS
Additionally, please help us to stay open by continuing to follow statewide mandates, CDC guidelines and best practices for in-person gatherings:Wear your mask at all times while in the Real Life Church building. Our Real Life staff and volunteers wear approved face coverings when serving (both inside and outside of the building), and we encourage everyone in attendance to follow their example. We continue to honor medical exceptions; in addition, preschool-aged and under are exempt.Maintain physical distance from folks outside your householdStay home when sick, or if you believe you’ve been exposed to COVID
For the past several months, we've been grateful for the ability to worship together at Church Online, and we encourage you to continue to attend online if you or a family member doesn't feel well, if you are unable to or prefer not to wear a mask, or if you're just not ready to attend church at the in-person gathering. You're part of the Real Life Church family no matter where you choose to attend - we are one church meeting in many rooms!

Since we released the reopening plan, we have had to make some adjustments and anticipate more in the future as we settle into a new structure. Here are the updates:Due to the number of volunteers, for now, we will only be opening three classrooms: Treehouse (infants - 3 years old), Big Backyard (3.5 years old - preschool), Kid Connect (K-5th grade). We are no longer requiring a health screening for each family, however, please help us take care of our church family by being aware of our wellness policy and keeping your family home if anyone is showing any of the listed symptoms.
UPDATE: 7/22 - MN MASK MANDATE
Effective Saturday (7/25), masks will be required for all those attending in-person services as Real Life Church complies with the new executive order mandating masks or face-coverings. We will continue to have masks available if you forget yours!
There are three exceptions allowed under the order:Children age 5 and under (masks are recommended for ages 2-5, but not required; children under age 2 should not wear a mask at any time)Persons who have medical or other health conditions, disabilities or mental health, developmental, or behavioral needs that make it difficult to tolerate wearing a face covering. Those speaking, singing, and leading from the stage as part of the service.
Thanks in advance for continuing to love our neighbors well - both our Real Life Church Family, and our Roseville and Twin Cities neighbors. Thank you for joining us in honoring our local, state, and national leaders, and honoring those who are vulnerable.
